Cookie Policy
Effective Date: March 19, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites function properly, improve user experience, and provide information to site operators. Browser local storage (localStorage) serves a similar purpose but is accessed only by client-side scripts and is not automatically sent with HTTP requests.
2. How Metagenly Uses Cookies and Local Storage
Metagenly uses a minimal set of cookies and browser storage technologies. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies.
| Technology | Name / Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cookie | Supabase auth token (sb-*-auth-token) | Strictly Necessary | Maintains your authenticated session after login | Session / up to 7 days |
| Cookie | CSRF / security tokens | Strictly Necessary | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| localStorage | Generation preferences | Functional | Stores your preferred settings (keyword count, language, etc.) | Persistent until cleared by you |
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They enable core features such as user authentication and security protections. Because they are required for the Service to operate, they cannot be disabled. If you block these cookies through your browser settings, some or all parts of the Service may not function correctly.
4. Functional Local Storage
Generation preference data stored in your browser's localStorage is used solely to remember your settings between sessions. This data:
- —Never leaves your device.
- —Is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.
- —Can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Metagenly does not set any third-party cookies. However, third-party services integrated into the platform may set their own cookies when you interact with them:
- —Paddle: When you visit the subscription management portal or checkout page, Paddle may set cookies necessary for payment processing and fraud prevention. These are governed by Paddle's own cookie policy.
- —Supabase: Authentication cookies are set by Supabase to maintain your session. These are classified as strictly necessary.
We do not control the cookies set by these third parties. Please refer to their respective privacy and cookie policies for details.
6. Managing Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to access cookie settings in common browsers:
- —Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- —Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- —Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- —Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
To clear localStorage, open your browser's developer tools (usually F12), navigate to the Application or Storage tab, and clear localStorage for metagenly.io.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning properly.
7. Do Not Track Signals
Metagenly does not use tracking technologies and does not track users across third-party websites. We honor Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals by default, as our Service does not engage in cross-site tracking.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-app notice.
